Did you print, sign and mail the tax return to the IRS? Or did you e-file the tax return to the IRS? Or are you referring to the federal tax refund and Not the federal tax return?
I e- filed. I recieved my State but, not my Federal. Bank told me I need tracer number.
Did the IRS Approve and Issue the federal tax refund? What does the IRS website for the status of the federal tax refund indicate? - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
Yes...IRS accepted it and stated by may 4th if not in my account contact my bank. Bank is telling me I have to get trace #. My state refund was received but not Federal
If the IRS website states that the federal tax refund was issued on a certain date then the IRS sent the tax refund by direct deposit to the bank based on the routing and account numbers you provided. Verify the routing and account numbers are correct. If correct then your bank should have a pending deposit to your account from the IRS.
Or did you request to have the TurboTax account fees paid from the federal tax refund?
Since you requested to have the TurboTax account fees deducted from your federal tax refund, the IRS will send the refund to a third party processor to have the fees and the service charge deducted. The third party processor will deduct the TurboTax fees plus the service charge and then attempt to direct deposit the remaining refund balance into the account that you entered on your tax return.
For the status of your tax refund you will need to contact the third party processor, Santa Barbara Tax Product Group, using their website - https://www.sbtpg.com/
