I had used another service last year but at first I thought I was used TurboTax. So I started filing with them, then at the very end it said I needed to give them 2023 forms because I didn’t file with them. So I looked and saw who I filed with and decided to abandon TurboTax and file with them. TurboTax still charged me anyway and it was a lot of money. They said that I had paid but I didn’t finish filing, which I think that if I have not finished filing they should not have charged me.
When you were using the TurboTax online edition for tax year 2023, in the File section of the program you had to enter your credit card information and then have that information processed by TurboTax to debit your credit card account. This was all shown to you before you signed off of the account.
The account had to be paid for so that the 2023 tax return could either be e-filed or printed for mailing.
