I maxed out my SS payments twice, as I changed employers. TT is still showing that I owe >$10k in Federal taxes. How can I be sure it's considering the SS overpayment?

If you had two or more employers and the total of all Social Security taxes paid was greater than $8,537.40 the excess SS taxes withheld will be entered on Schedule 3 Line 10.  This amount flows to Form 1040 Line 31 as a tax payment.  This will either be included in your federal tax refund or it will decrease the amount of federal taxes owed.
