I manually entered the w-2 forms. Do I need to send them a copy of them when I file?

Only if you file by mail.

If you electronically file (E-File) your income tax return, you do not have to send in a copy of your W-2 forms.  

If you mail in your income tax return, you must attach your W-2 forms.
