I made less than $5000 last year, so that would mean I would get all of my withheld money back, would it not? On here,it says that my refund is 0, I'm confused as to why?

If you were paid on a 1099-MISC, your income might be subject to self-employment tax.

To see how your taxes were calculated, you can preview your 1040, using these steps:
  1. In the black bar on the left of your screen, click Tax Tools >Tools
  2. In the Tools Center, click View Tax Summary.  You can see the Total Tax and Refund/Balance Due on the summary.
  3. If you prefer, you can click Preview My 1040 in the black bar on the left.
  4. To get back to your return, click Back (also in the black bar).

NOTE:

Since your income is low, you may qualify for the earned income credit (EIC).  To do this:

  1. Click the Deductions & Credits tab.
  2. Under the You and Your Family section, click the Start/Revisit box next to Earned Income Credit (EIC).
  3. Continue through the screens, entering the requested information.
