I made $125.00 for being a test proctor in 2018. My 1099-misc only shows total paid for test center services. How do I report this income on my taxes?

There are no boxes on my 1098-misc.

The $125 must be in one of the numbered "boxes" / lines otherwise you would not have the 1099-MISC

In the Personal Income interview, you will need to select "Other Income" see attached picture.

The Form 1099-MISC forces you to include Self-Employment as a form of income.

@thatsmyboys

You did not indicate if the Form 1099-MISC showed the $125 in Box 7 or Box 3.

If Box 7, yes indeed its Self-Employment but if its Box 3, no its not.

The differences are:

  1. Box 7 income forces Self-Employment, Schedule C and SE
  2. Box 3 is easily reported on line 41 and no Self-Employment tax.

So what's the box #?
