I'm working TurboTax Premium and can't find a place to list estimated tax payments. I've tried Search but no luck; where can I find it on the screen? Thanks.

Do you want to report the estimated tax payments you paid in 2016?

The fastest way to navigate to the estimated taxes section in the Online product is with this shortcut:

  • Log in and go to your 2016 Tax Timeline.
  • Choose "Take me to my return" (continue your return.)
  • When the return is open, click at the top right corner on the Search tab.
  • Enter quarterly without quotes.
  • Choose Jump to quarterly.
  • You will come to a screen "Estimates and Other Income Taxes Paid".
  • The first topic is "Estimated Tax Payments."
  • Choose the category(s) for the type of tax payments.
When you later review your return, the Federal estimated tax payments should show up on your Form 1040, Line 65.

If you entered state estimated tax payments, then step through the State interview to be sure they transfer over to the state side.

Here's the clumsier navigation method, but the steps above are usually easier.

Federal Taxes tab
Deductions & Credits
If a page says "Your Tax Breaks",  do not choose "Other Income Taxes".
Instead, keep scrolling further down the page to a list of "All Tax Breaks" (you may have to click a tiny blue link that says "Show all tax breaks".)
Then keep scrolling down to "Estimates and Other Taxes Paid"
Expand that category ("Show more") and the first topic is "Estimates."
