I'm trying to decide if I should claim my dependents on my W-4 to get me more money each month...I have 3 children but always claim 0 deductions..but I need advice please

I don't want to have to pay taxes later...so how many dependents can I claim to get more per month without causing me to have to pay later?

This question can only be answered accurately if I (or we) knew how much you make, how often you're paid, and you're marital status. The IRS has a publication that you can look at that shows you how to compute what your tax liability will be based on those factors that I mentioned above. That publication is IRS Publication 15 (click here).

The more exemptions you claim on Form W-4, the less federal income tax is taken out of you paycheck. So, if you don't claim any exemptions, your employer will withhold more federal income taxes from your paychecks.
