Did you make any estimated tax payments? Send any money IN to the IRS? Have a W-2 job at some point where tax was withheld?

Your tax refund is just that - a refund of taxes you have paid in, in excess of your balance due.   Your tax return is the document you file to determine that.

If 100% of your income was from self-employment and you haven't paid anything in yet, your max return is most likely $0 and you will owe at least the self-employment tax on your income.  This could vary depending on any credits you may be entitled to.  There is nowhere near enough information here to have any clue what your refund or balance due could possibly be (and I am betting you will have a balance due.)
