I'm ready to submit my return, do I have to sign up for Credit Karma

Why do i have to sign up for credit karma to submit my tax returns

You do NOT have to sign up for Credit Karma.  You have a choice.   You can say no to using Credit Karma and have your refund deposited to your own bank account or you can say you want them to mail you a check.
