I'm potentially a remote contract employee living in Alaska and employers are in Washington State. What taxes would I pay and what should I set aside for taxes 2019?
I'd like to know what to set aside for taxes next year. I live in AK and employers are in WA. I'll be a remote contract employee with a 1099 misc. Which state collects taxes? How much should I save?

Good news: Neither Alaska nor Washington have a state income tax. You will only have to deal with IRS filing.

The deeper question is what should I set aside for filing IRS? Not limited to income tax, since that's not included. What percentage would it be?
