I'm not sure if my dad can claim me as a dependent

I am 23 years old, I do still live at home, but I was not a part time or full time student in 2016, can my dad still claim me as a dependent on his taxes?

You cannot be his dependent if you had more than $4050 of income for the year.

There are two types of dependents, "Qualifying Children"(QC) and standard ("Qualifying Relative" in IRS parlance even though they don't have to actually be related). There is no income limit for a QC but there is an age limit, a relationship test and a residence test. Only a QC qualifies the taxpayer for the Earned Income Credit.

You cannot be  a QC because you are over 18 and not a full time student; so the income test applies.
