I'm getting ready to file and when I go next step after "let's get ready to e-file" it says that my husband and I made the same amount, but it's jointly, not individually

Is it going to double our income?  Or is it the same because we filed jointly?

Are you looking at the 2019 AGI that is needed to efile 2020?  That is from your 2019 Joint return, and is the same for both of you.

Even though TurboTax does not encourage it, you really need to look at your tax return before you SUBMIT it.

Always print a copy of your completed tax return for your records, and review it carefully before e-Filing.
You will need it if you are audited by the IRS, or to amend if a TurboTax update changes your return or for any other reason,

AND, to find your AGI next year.
AND, to verify income is not doubled.
