I live in Japan. I did some translation work for a company in California. Where do I report the 1099-MISC income? I did not work the little time I was in the US.

Do I state Yes when it asks me for 1099-MISC or do I include all of it as foreign earned income?  I did not do any work while I was in the US visiting my family.

You will need to first enter it as a 1099MISC in TurboTax (type in 1099misc in the search bar at the top of your screen and click the Jump to link).

Then you should also indicate in the foreign earned income exclusion section that you received a 1099MISC for foreign income.
