I live in a township, but I work in a city. Am I entitled to getting back my local city tax seen as how I reside in a township? I have heard 2 different answers so far.

It almost certainly depends on what state you live in. In Ohio, for example, if you work in a city, you are required to pay the city tax, without regard to where you live - even if you live in another state.

I live in Howland Twp. in Trumbull County Ohio. I work in the city of Niles, Ohio. You are saying that I am not entitled to receiving my local city tax back correct?

Yes. If you worked in the city, you will owe city tax.
