I keep putting in the AGI from 2018 to e file bit it keeps rejecting my return for 2019. I filed at end of January but I still have yet to get my return.

If you already filed, you will not want to re-enter your AGI again. This is one of the filing steps, and it will not work if you've already filed. You can monitor the progress of your federal refund here. 

Do you mean your 2019 return is being rejected for incorrect AGI?  If you either cannot get the 2018 AGI to work and cannot use "zero" instead to e-file your 2019 return, then you have to print, sign and mail in your 2019 return to get it filed.
