I keep getting an error message of “ transmission not available for 2021” how do I proceed to file?

Some states have forms that are not yet available.

 

Is this North Carolina by any chance?  Some NC forms (including the main Form D-400) are not yet finalized and available for efiling.   Projected availability date is 2/24/2022, according to the availability tables:

If you wish, you can efile the Federal return now (if all your Fed forms are available) and efile the NC state return later.  To do that, you would need to temporarily change the filing method for the state return and tell TurboTax that you intend to "mail" the state return.  Then when the state forms are available you can switch the method back to efile.

I have been trying since Friday and I keep getting the exact same error. I spoke to a live chat agent and they were not much help because I tried what they suggested and it did not work for me but here is what I was told . Log out. Log back in. And file your federal only from the drop down menu and try the state taxes later when those forms are ready. 


when I went to ask the agent for more directions they left the chat LOL

I am happy to finally have a TurboTax Article relating to this issue.  See the article for important information.  The issue is expected to be resolved on 2/24/22.  Additionally, you'll see the opportunity to sign up for email notification when the issue has been resolved.
