You may qualify for the Energy Tax Credit for your window and a door. In general, improvements you make to your primary home are added to the basis of your home.

To enter your energy star windows/doors in TurboTax:

  • In your open return, select My Account
  • Tools
  • Topic Search
  • Type 'energy improvements' in the box, then select GO
