I have unfinished Capital Gain Wks (unvested). It says that I have stock in line 2. That is not true. I cannot change the answer. How do I correct this?

Not sure what you mean by "I have unfinished Capital Gain Wks (unvested)." "My understanding is that you have to create a Capital Gains Wks for one to show up in the list of Forms for your return. Is this a CGW that you unintentionally created, or one that you created and is unfinished?  Do you have any investments or property sales that you wanted to report on a CGW?

Please use FORMS mode! If you don't want the CGW, enter Forms Mode, bring up the CGW, click the Forms menu (top of screen) and select "Remove Cap Gains Wks..." It, and everything in it, will be deleted.

If you do want to keep and use the CGW, you have to select one of the options in Part I, Item 2. TT selects "Stock" as the default value. You should be able to select something else if your property is not a Stock since this item is "user entered". Don't click on the Stock check box to try to remove the X. Just click on another selection and that will be your entry. In my experience, all fields on the CGW are "user entered" except Part III Item 1 (Description) which is the title the user entered when the CGW was created. Complete Part I before completing the rest of the CGW. Again, please use FORMS mode. Good luck!
