I have TurboTax Deluxe and would like to add home office deduction. Does this version have that ability, or do I need to upgrade? If so, how do I upgrade?

I did not find a home office deduction in Deductions and Credits section.

To get to Home Office Expenses (for your W2 income) in TurboTax Deluxe:

  1. Go to Deductions and Credits
  2. Scroll down to Employment Expenses
  3. Click Start on Job Expenses for W-2 Income
  4. Follow the prompts and it should take you to Home Office Deduction

To get to Home Office Expenses (for your 1099MISC or self employment income), you need to upgrade to the Self-Employed version of TurboTax. As you enter your income int he Wages and Income section under Self Employment, you will be asked to upgrade. OR:

1. Go to turbotax.com, there's a black bar on the left, you will see the Upgrade link
