I have TT Deluxe (desktop). 2023 Schedule D Tax Worksheet says the tax table was used to calculate tax on line 44 but the figure is less than using the tax table. How?

The tax table calculation and the TT # are close so could be a rounding error, but I don't want to underpay. Tax Table calc on $98,898 should be $17,136.

No, I am not seeing $17,136, I see $17,130 in the Tax Table. Maybe you aren't using the one for 2023. Follow this link for the current Tax Table.

Thanks! You’re right - I wasn’t using the right table!
