I have the proceeds and cost basis reported. However, I keep seeing "Please enter a value, or if this doesn't apply to you, leave it blank."

It refers to checkbox The cost basis is incorrect or missing on my 1099?B

Please clarify your question.

I did post a record and did not see that message.

  • Did you enter this manually, or did you import it?
  • Was it stock or cryptocurrency?
  • Where are you seeing this message?
    • Is it Now, enter one sale on your XXXX?
  • Below the Box 1e - Cost or other basis, did you check
    • The cost basis is incorrect or missing on my 1099‑B, or
    • I have other boxes on my 1099‑B to enter

It is in the federal review section, after having imported my gains (CSV) for crypto currencies. The gain/loss was calculated after having imported them. Please find the details.

- Imported CSV

- Cryptocurrency

- I don't see any message related to "Enter sale on..." The gains/losses were correctly calculated after importing it.

Related to box 1e, I did not check any of those. This is where I see the mentioned problem.

Thanks for the help.

If you click continue and TurboTax takes you back to the same page, with the same item to review, remove the dollar signs from your amounts, and decimals, and round up/down any amount that has cents in the total.  Making a change, although an accurate one, to the amounts may cause the application to notice a change in connection with the item to review and may allow you to advance to the next section.

The dollar symbols can’t be removed, so this doesn’t help. By Checking and unchecking the box, this works, but I would not expect to do that
