I have recently moved states. Do I submit a new W-4 to an Employer I am longer with?

Hello.

In July. I left my former job. And in August, I moved states. This is my first year filing taxes on my own, and this somewhat unique scenario makes it difficult to know whether or not I should be submitting a new W4. Should I?

A W-4 is only used to determine the amount of federal taxes are to be withheld from your wages by your current employer.

If you no longer work for a specific employer there is no need to give them a W-4 since you are no longer receiving wages from that employer.
