I have farm expenses to add. Where do I add them?

You will need to upgrade to the Self-Employed version of TurboTax Online, which contains Schedule F, Profit or Loss from Farming.  In the Self-Employed version, please follow the instructions below to enter your farm expenses:

  • In your return, click the Business tab and then click Continue
  • Select "I'll choose what I want to work on"
  • On the next screen, scroll down to Farm Income & Expenses and then click Start next to Farm Income & Income Expenses
  • Proceed through the interview until you get to the "Your Farming Income & Expenses"
  • Scroll down to Farm Expenses and then click Start next to the type of expenses you need to enter.
