I have been asked to review the data for my Form 1099-B

The downloaded entries are presented in some random order.  All brokerage firms list sale transactions separated into Sales Section (A-F, Short and Long Term, and further split based on reported or not).  Shouldn't this be the default presentation order when I am asked to review?

Each time I review them, I am finding some random entry duplicated 3 times.  What is this all about?

My wash sale adjustment is being applied to some random other sales, in addition to the one that triggered the wash sale.  Event the asset is different!  Not different transactions for the same asset.  I'm glad I caught this error before filing.

What you describe is an issue with how your Form 1099-B download was processed in TurboTax. This can be an issue with the download, that is the responsibility of the broker, an issue with your computer or perhaps an issue with the TurboTax program. It is always a good idea to review any download into TurboTax or any other tax software product to insure everything was processed correctly, as you have done. At this point in time you can delete the information downloaded and try again or edit the entries that are in error. If you try the download again and have the same result, you may need to do the entries manually.
