I have an IRS 6-digit PIN in the format xx0xxx. Turbotax has PIN field for a 5 digit PIN. My return is rejected. What should I do?

To enter, edit or delete a 6 digit IP PIN

Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Other Tax Situations
Scroll down to Other Return Info
On Identity Protection PIN, click the start button

Yep...6-digit IP-PIN goes in a special spot...not in the final PIN field.

I had the same problem!

This 5-digit field is where YOU Create your own PIN just to identify (link up with) your own e-signature.

The IRS number with 6 digits goes somewhere else entirely - in the Federal portion of the program.

It was Crazy Confusing until a member of the Community here sorted it out for me.
