I have a transmission error that says: Tax Year 2023 transmissions are not available. TurboTax Business is not ready to process Tax Year 2023 for this return. ?

This message can mean one of two things. The first is that you‌ have forms in your return that aren't ready for e-file yet. Follow this link to see if any of your forms are not yet available. 

 

If all of the forms in your return are available, try this:

 

 

1. Sign out of your account, or close your software if you are using Desktop.
2. Clear your cache & cookies for your preferred browser. Follow this link for instructions.
3. Sign in to your TurboTax account, or open the software. If you are using software installed on your computer, allow the program to fully update. 
4. Select Review and let the program check your return.
5. Address any details that come up.
6. Continue into the File section and try to submit your e-file again. 

 

 

If this doesn't work for you, you should either print and mail your return, or file an extension because the corporate filing deadline is Friday, March 15. Follow this link to learn more about filing an extension. 

 

 

 

Turns out I filed Fed and left State off. So it's the State return. I'll file that in the mail. Amazing these messages are so nebulous. You'd think after the money we pay for State returns it would come w/some clear information.

I had the same issue. Thanks for the suggestion. Federal worked, Georgia is going in the mail. Still can't figure out why. 

Same issue.  Resolution was, select e-File Federal only and e-file State later.  After detaching State Return, was able to successfully process Federal 1065 with 8453-PE attached.  Hope this is helpful.
