Yes, here's an FAQ that will tell you how this can be done.

Here are the steps from the FAQ:

TurboTax Online

  1. Sign in to TurboTax.
  2. On the Your 2023 federal return was accepted! page, open Your tax returns & documents, and then select 2023.
  3. Select Add a state to reopen your return.
    • Note: If you've already started your state return, you can select Continue your return in the state tax return box.
  4. Select State from the menu.
  5. On the Let's get your state taxes done right screen, select Continue and follow the instructions.

Yes you can do that.  You just have to wait until federal has been accepted first.  Say you will mail the second state.  Then you can come back and switch it to efile.  Or delete that state and add it in again later.  The link above should work.

You can file now and skip state for later

Can I file my federal taxes now and skip my state for later?

But don't do it if you have something to change for one of the states, that you are waiting to do until later.

Everything needs to be set in place properly first, on all the forms, before you file any one of them.
