I have a prepayment voucher for next year's taxes, do I have to use them?
I got a refund this year and everything is good. I was going thru the paperwork for my records and noticed prepayment vouchers for next year. I don't want to prepay extra for next year just so I don't owe next year I'm fine waiting for next year to do taxes.

The 1040ES slips? Those are optional to pay and the IRS or state won't be expecting them. You can shred them.

Awesome, thanks! I was good to go, submitted and everything, saw those and had a moment of panic. There's no clear instructions on them in the event that you don't want to prepay, that might be good to add for future reference.
