I have a Form 6251 from 2016 but I have no line 35. Turbotax is asking me for the value from Form 6251 line 35. What should I enter in as Form 6251, line 35?

It should probably be zero then. Don't know why there isn't a zero there. Verify that by looking on your 2016 Form 1040, line 45. If that is zero or empty, then answer TT with 0.

Line 45 of 1040 - what about form 1040A? it should be the same line 45 on 1040A too?

No. If you needed to file form 6251, you cannot file a 1040A. There is no line on the 1040A where the amount from the 6251 flows. I think if TT had you filing a 1040A, then that means the amount on line 35 for 6251 was zero. Otherwise it would have filled out a 1040 for you.

Turbo Tax filed form 1040A for me with 6251 worksheet which is without line 35. Now, for 2017 return TT asking me to enter amount on line 35 of 6251 which I can't find. I entered amount zero and the next step was to enter the whole form. Don't understand what is this.

I don't know what else to tell you. Perhaps another volunteer will have more for you. Otherwise you could contact TT support and see if they can help you.

Should TT already have your 6251 from 2016 ? and why not ?  I think TT is liable for not having this . !
same thing , on 2016 , form 6251 does not have a line 35 on the form, and I am looking at the 2016 form.  somewhat ridiculous

I also have this problem. My 2016 return has no Frm 6251 Line 35, because Turbo Tax did not include it.
