Since you received a corrected W-2 (W-2c) and you haven't filed yet, you may go in to the program and edit your previous W-2 entry to update the information using the W-2c.

From within your return, click My Account > Tools Topic Search > W-2. This will guide you to the W-2 summary page. Next to your W-2 already entered, click the gray Edit box.

Your W-2c will look a little different than a regular W-2; it has two columns, Previously reported and Correct information. Enter the dollar amounts from the Correct information column, and don't forget to check the Corrected W-2 box when you get to the Do any of these uncommon situations apply? screen.

Have you already submitted your returns with the original W-2 you received?

No. It told me yesterday that my w2 was wrong because there was a typo of $200 difference in wages and SS wages

Did you receive a corrected W-2 (W-2c) form or did the program tell you the entry was wrong?

It told me the SS withheld was incorrect. I asked for a new W-2 and received it today.
