I have a 1099 misc and a w2form. Can they be on the same tax return with the self-employed or separate?

Yes, all your income is reported on one return.

Add the income related to your business on the Schedule C and the other income as a W-2 employee, which will be reported on line 7 of your 1040. The Schedule C is part of your 1040.

(When you enter the forms, and answer any interview questions, the program will know where to put the income)

All your income, expenses, adjustments, credits, and tax is computed on the same return.
