I have a 1099 DIV and it is asking for boxes 2b 2c and 2d I dont have these on my 1099-DIV. Is this a problem?

I see that the page "shows" those boxes, but I don't see anything that asks for the data.

 

There is also a note at the top :  "

"

Dividends and gains 

(boxes 1a-2d) - Leave blank if empty on your form."

 

I'd add to that, to leave any of the boxes blank if your 1099-DIV form shows a 0.00 in that particular box too

 

No --  this is not a problem.  It just means that you don't have any of these items:

• Unrecaptured Section 1250 gain
• Section 1202 gain . . .
• Collectibles gain

Just leave those boxes blank.
