I have $26.2K wages, $11.1K int + ord divs, $42.4K qual divs + cap gains, std exempt of $6.4K, $5.9K r/e int + tax, $90 charity. I calc $3915 in fed tax, TT says $6710.

Pretty straightforward.  Never had this discrep w/ TT in 25+ yrs of using.  I've assumed $38K of qual divs + cap gains excluded from taxes.

You can see exactly what your return shows by choosing Tools on the left, then your tax Summary.  Once the Summary is up, select preview my 1040 on the left.  Your return doesn't sound too complicated, but you may see something surprising on your 1040, such as an entry error where the decimal point or comma was off.  Come back and post in the comments if you have questions after looking at the 1040.
