I have 2, 1099 R forms for Mega Backdoor Roth

I received 2, 1099 R Forms for my mega backdoor Roth.  1 form is correct for 2024.  The 2nd form is 1 Mega Conversion which should have been done December 31 2023, but looks like they did it January 2nd 2024.  Both Distribution codes are G, but oddly enough they are from 2 different companies.  When I input these forms, can I just combine them?  Or do I have to do it separately?

It would be best to do them separately if you e-file your tax return. You may be Ok combing them as the total distribution will be correct, but if you e-file the return and one of them has a different federal ID number, it may cause a problem since the IRS will not be able to match that to the copy of Form 1099-R that they have received. Thus, it is possible they would send you a notice regarding the missing 1099 form entry after they process the return.

Just an update.  I found out the reason they are from 2 different  companies is because my 401k Roth changed companies in July.  That being the case, I shouldn't combine these when I e-file correct?

Correct, you shouldn't combine them when e-filing.
