I had to clear and start over because I accidentally hit deluxe. When I started over I now have less of a refund and I don't know why?

The important thing is to make sure what you are filing is correct. Something caused a drop in the refund. Whether it was a typo the first time or the second, I do not know. Go back through and double check your w2 entries, etc. If it is big, check that your children are being claimed, etc.
