At tax time, you have the option to summarize your transactions by Sales Category.
Exception: if you summarize Category A or Category D, Form 8949 is not needed for transactions without adjustments. No mailing is necessary.
You should aggregate your capital transactions whenever possible.
That is the easiest way to file your tax return
Enter on PA Schedule D the aggregated totals from 1040 Schedule D Line 1a.
That is all that could be there if you use the aggregation option and the 8949 exception allowed by the IRS.
via imports, TT has stuck values in D 1b, 8a, 8b, 9.
are you saying to put the 1b value in 1a, then clear out 1b ?
are you saying to put the sum of 8a, 8b, and 9 in 8a, then clear out 8b and 9 ?
In general,
is there a way to instruct TT to do this automatically?
is TT actually going to update the software for PA like it claims ?
