I had filed for an extension for my 2018 tax season. I got an email but did not get an acknowledgement from IRS or advance tax also had not be deducted from my account.

Ok ... you will ONLY get an acceptance notice from TT and the payment with the extension is only verified by your bank account ... if it didn't happen yet then you must have entered the wrong info, or your bank/card denied the debit or the extension was not accepted.
