I got the Deluxe version but will all have some small business income and deductions. Will I be able to do that with this version?

I think I might have downloaded the wrong version. I downloaded Deluxe because we want to deduct our home mortgage and have a kid in college so will have school expense. But we will also have some small business income and deductions. Will I be able to do that with this edition? Or is there a way to add it in? Or upgrade for a small fee? Thanks.

The downloaded version of Deluxe will work for you. If by chance, it doesn't, you can easily upgrade and TurboTax will guide you through that process.

Yes, you can file a Schedule C with all the TurboTax CD/Download products including Basic, Deluxe, Premier and Home & Business. Home & Business is designed for the self-employed and small businesses, including independent contractors, consultants, and freelancers.

We recommend the Home & Business CD/Download if you:

  • Started a business in 2018;
  • Need to create W-2 and 1099 forms for employees and contractors; or
  • Simply want to make sure you're getting all the small business tax deductions and write-offs you're entitled to.
