I get SSI was a dependent in 2018 but not wasn't a dependent on 2019 tax. Will I receive the stimulus check since I wasn't a dependent anymore in 2019?

Meant was not a dependent on 2019 taxes and can't be claimed anymore so will I receive stimulus check or will the IRS go by 2018 taxes not seeing I wasn't a dependent in 2019

It depends.

The IRS is going to be issuing the stimulus payments throughout 2020, so you may still get your stimulus payment once the IRS receives and processes your 2019 tax return.

When you file your return in 2020, you will have the opportunity to report the amount of the stimulus check(s) you did receive, and if it was less than what you were entitled to, you will receive a credit on your tax return.

What does the stimulus bill mean to you

The payment of the stimulus funds can be tracked at the following website:

The IRS is gradually assigning payment dates to SSI and VA recipients. They were given until today to enter any dependents under the age of 17 to get the additional $500 of stimulus payment for it to be included with their payment.
