I get an error in my California return saying that adjusted interest/points can't be greater than total, but these are numbers imported from Federal. What gives?

I have the same issue and posted my question couple of days ago. TurboTax acknowledged that is a software problem, and they will issue an update to fix by April 5. Stay tuned.

An Intuit service guy resolved my problem. Turns out I entered the numbers in my fed Sched A direct from 1098 rather than filling out full 1098 worksheet. Fed 1040 doesn't care, but CA 540 cares. Went back, filled in 1098 worksheet, reran federal and state & both came back error free.

TurboTax's promised April 5 fix came through right on time with flying colors!! I just updated my software and the error message disappeared without any action on my part.
