I freelance inside the US but for foreign companies. I have received no tax receipts or Employer EINs. Is that a 1099-K, or uncommon income, or which form?

To input wages from a foreign employer you would need to enter them in the Self-employed online version or Home & Business CD/Download version of TurboTax.  If you have no expenses to claim you can use the Deluxe or Premier version.  If you are not an employee, you must enter the wage information as self-employed.

Thanks but that wasn't my question. My question is what do I file this information under (which category inside of self-employment)? A 1009-Misc wants the foreign company's EIN or SSN number which they don't have because they're not an American company and they did not give me a 1099 form. The turbotax options it gives are 1099-Misc (which they didn't give me), 1099-K (which they didn't give me), or uncommon income. Should I write all foreign freelance work down in 'uncommon income'? Or would I write it down in 1099-Misc because it's freelance but leave the EIN and SSN blank? Turbotax keeps red flagging that I don't have an EIN for this.

thank you

You can just enter under Other self-employed income.

Is "Other" the same as "uncommon income"? Turbotax only gives these options "1099-Misc", "1099-K", "uncommon income", and "rebates and refunds". Is "1099-K" or "uncommon income" the same as "other cash"?

Use uncommon income.
