I forgot to file Form 8843 as a non-resident alien for past few years, can I still file them and what are the possible consequences?

I am currently an F-1 student with OPT, and I has been an F-1 student for more than 6 years since 2013. However, from 2013 to 2017, I didn't realize that I need to file tax even though I didn't have any income at all. Therefore, I should have filed Form 8843 for each year from 2013 to 2017 (as a non-resident alien for these five years), but I didn't. Is there any possible ways for me to file them, for example fill up all the Form 8843 and file separately? Also will there be any consequences caused by not filing them on time? Thank you!

You can download the form 8843 from www.irs.gov and fill the information by hand  and mail the forms in --- there  should be no repercussion.  Include a statement explaining the situation  -- that you were not aware of the requirement, that you did not have any taxable income from US sources etc.
