I filled out the KY LLET form, which carries a minimum fee/tax of $175. However, this was not reflected in my return. I do not want to get penalized. What can I do?

This form is mailed separately. KY does not accept electronic filing of this form, as it is to maintain LLC status on your business. You will want to sign and send in the form along with your payment before the April 17th filing deadline for this year to the address provided on the form.

Thank you, Daniel! So, if I was not wanting to continue the LLC, I could choose not to file and pay, and I wouldn't be subject to penalties? KY Dept of Revenue was not much help by both phone and email. Any other words of wisdom would be very much appreciated. Thank you! @TurboTaxDanielV

The reason why the Dept of Revenue is not of help is because while the 725 is filed with them, your LLC registry is filed with the Secretary of the State, which is a different department. You can get more information at this website: https://www.sos.ky.gov/. I'm pretty certain that much like the tax return, the 725 covers last years activity and must be filed. But at the other site you can dissolve the LLC if you choose.
