I filed my return by mail the first week of February and haven't seen anything - is there a chance it's lost? Can I just file online instead?

I wouldn't send another return just yet, as it takes a good while (Approximately 6 to 8 weeks) for the IRS to process a paper return.  You can check your refund status directly through the IRS using these links: Where’s My Refund on IRS.gov or the IRS mobile app, IRS2Go to check your status.

I wouldn't file again, you'll have to wait until the paper filed return is processed.   According to IRS Website you can check your refund status 4 weeks after you filed.  I'd give it a few more days (perhaps the end of the week) and then check on "Wheres My refund" on the irs website.  Hope this helps.

go to the IRS website and check your refund status.    if nothing shows the next step is to

register to get a transcript of 2019 return.   then you can see if there's a transcript.

if yes the IRS got it

if no call them before doing anything

if you had certain credits on your return - EIC or child care, those returns didn't start processing until 2/15 and a refund would take about 2 to 3 weeks from the date your return was actually processed assuming direct deposit.  a check in the mail refund can take 4 to 8 weeks from the date it's processed.
