I filed my federal taxes by itself, and am now trying to file my Alabama state taxes, but it is not able to e-file. Is there a way I can link my federal and state taxes together?

If your Federal and State were not filed at the same time you will not be able to file your State until your Federal has been accepted by the IRS.  This can take a few days to happen, but once it has been accepted you will be able to go back in and file your state return.  Also TurboTax will link your Federal and State taxes.
