I filed an injured spouse form with my return this year but still had my refund reduced by my spouse’s tax obligation and no acknowledgment of the form from the IRS, help

My spouse owed back taxes for multiple previous filing years, and I filed this year with the injured spouse form but still had my refund reduced and the irs didn’t acknowledge receipt of the form or tell me if it was denied or anything. Did I file it incorrectly, can I amend to file it again, any info is appreciated

Look at the injured spouse form ... did you indicate who was the correct injured party ?   And if you had kids did you indicate them to be put on your column of the 8379?   If you messed up you can amend the return.

I did but looking at it I’m wondering if I filled it out incorrectly with the “year you are filing this form for” I put 2021 but I’m thinking now it should have been one of the years he owes for right? And how would I do it for multiple years?

No, you did it right. It's for the year of the refund that you are trying to protect. And you have to file a separate Form 8379 for each year.

Next check the 8379 form ... did the correct income show up in the correct column ?  And it is possible if you filed separately that you would not have any refund to get.
