I filed a week ago not knowing that the IRS was not excepting them until the 29th. Will I get a email stating that excepted it?

Yes, but only if you requested email notification.  If not, you can always check the IRS website at: Where Is My Refund within 5 - 10 days and you will see if it was accepted or not.
