the tax filing may have been after April deadline so the IRS system may read $0 as AGI

If your AGI is rejected, you have the chance to correct the information.

  • Double check that your copy of the tax return matches what you previously filed by requesting a transcript from the IRS.
  • Try calling the IRS' AGI Hotline at +1(800) 829-0582 ext. 652
  • Enter 0 if you didn't file last year or your return was processed after mid-November
  • File a paper return instead of e-filing.
