I filed a 1099 Misc

Hi my name is [name removed] and I was sent a 1099 misc form from a theater where I helped them finish sewing some costumes for a friends show that was being put on there. The friend couldn't pay me so the theater payed me $700.00 using nonemployee compensation. I put the 1099 misc form into my 2019 turbotax deluxe program but now the program thinks I own a business which I don't I was just helping a friend with their work and they payed me for my time. The program keeps saying I made 6 errors on the 1099 misc form but the thing is it thinks I own a business and I don't and I'm super confused on what to do here, please help. my email is [email address removed] you can reach me best through that.

You are a business in the IRS eyes.

You do not have to carry on regular full-time business activities to be considered self-employed.  This is non-employee compensation.  You were contracted to do a job, not employed to do a job.  You will need to file a Schedule C for Business Income and Expenses and pay Self-Employment tax on this income.
